Structural Steel Detailer
Job Description:

The Structural Steel Detailer uses Tekla Structures, 3-D modeling software to make computerized drawings for steel fabricators. Prepares detailed plans, drawings and other documents for the fabricator and erection of steel columns, beams, braces, trusses, stairs, handrails, joists, metal decking in the construction of commercial, industrial or residential structural steel construction. Works closely with the team leader, engineers, architect, general contractor and steel fabricators and communicates with customers and other team members. Checks drawings for accuracy and completeness for themselves or other team members.

Job Requirements:

All applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years experience using Tekla X-Steel Detailing Software and a minimum of five (5) years Steel Detailing experience. Preference will be given to X-Steel detailers with AISC Commercial detailing experience and applicants with Engineering and/or Drafting Course Diploma's. Detailers with NISD IDC certification are highly desired.
